But I believe that some challenges are good for you. A lot of people in the western society tends to be bored, stressed out and with a lack of energy. It's easy to seek satisfaction in material things or related joys. But what about getting your daily kicks by pushing yourself a little more?
Trying out activities your body is not used to handle. Test yourself. Play.
By doing things that might seem a little scary, and managing them, your feeling of self confidence will increase. You will get this tickling joy that lasts, for a long time!
Stepping out of your comfort zone now and then might make you grow as a human being!
It doesn't have to be the most extreme activities, it's your own boundaries that is to be crossed. Some feels swimming in a lake where you can't see the bottom is a big deal, others takes deep dives down to 40m.
Some faces their fright of heights by climbing a ladder, some jumps out of airplanes. It is all about the feeling of facing your fears, and getting a good feeling out of it!
Remember to always have experienced people with you, if the activity requires more advanced skills. That way, you will stay safe and feel confident. Take myself, for example. I'm not a skilled kayaker, but by having a friend picking out the line in front of me, and Ronny covering my back in case I get caught under water. Knowing I'n not risking anything by being stupid or by lack of knowledge, I'm able to test my limits without getting scared.
What do you do when you wanna get a kick out of life? Here's some of the Pierats' ways to grow:
Heights
Ronny, diving from the railing of the pier
One of us, skydiving
Water
Ronny with the eskimo roll in progress
Our gang having fun!
Silje, practicing being under water and the eskimo roll
Our supercool dog Oluf!
Speed
Ronny, Snowboarding in Iran

Silje, ready to hit the slopes in Trysil
Balance
Practicing our hand stand in Montego Bay, Jamaica
Slacklining
Yep, sometimes, you fall! But that's part of the fun (^-^)
Just hanging out....

Yeah, we do normal things as well!
