Diving in Maria la Gorda, Cuba
We are an adventure-seeking, extreme sport-loving couple who travels the world. We're eating pie while doing all the fun things we love: kayaking, skydiving, scuba diving, horseback riding, slacklining, surfing, hiking, snowboarding, training dogs, pulling tires, biking, fishing skiing and so much more. Come with us and be a Pierat too!
If we can't dress up in a costume, to us there is no party!
RONNY
RONNY is a super-active, fun-loving guy. His earlier work shows what an adrenalin-junkie he is: Snowboard-instructor, Rafting-instructor, Tae Kwon Do-instructor and Spinning-instructor. This is not a couch-potato!

SILJE is the author of this blog. A happy vegetarian, sociologist, behavior-nerd and also dog/horsetrainer and riding instructor. She loves having fun as much as Ronny does, and that's why you can always see both goofing around and never sit still!

BUDDHA

BUDDHA is the newest member of the Pierats-family. Born 12.06.2010, he is only 11 weeks while I am writing this. Having a puppy is both frustrating and enjoyable, and we just LOVE how fast he is learning! Having a natural super hero-mask on his face and being a mix of Alaska Husky and Irish Setter, we bet he will be a true Pierat!

OLUF

OLUF is an adventure-mix between Labrador, German Sheperd and Border Collie born in 2003. Silje got him when he was 3 years old from the dog shelter Charlottes'. He became 8 years old, a happy, clickertrained personality. He loved food more than anything, and was a real Kung Fu Panda when it came to getting something he wants! Oluf had a looong list of tricks he loved to show (for food, what else?), which made him a really nice freestyle-dog. Due to his explosive energy, agility was also a sport he enjoyed. Being a pulling force when Silje was pulling tires or drag skiing was also one of his favorites, and unwrapping presents was HEAVEN!
Unfortunately Oluf had, like many relocated dogs, a stresslevel that easily goes sky-high if he gets insecure. Watching us slacklining, dancing, standing on our hands and other ""weird" activities was wayyy too much for Luff. We lost him in January 2011, and this is the letter I wrote him. Thank you for being a friend all these years!
Oluf went by many names; Luff, Melkepote (Milkypaw), Luffe, Flesk, Fluffe and...the list is looong!

Love, from the Pierats!
